Terraced town house. 1732. Brown brick with stuccoed ground floor, slate
roof. 4 storeys, basement and dormered attic. 5 bays wide flanked by
giant pilasters. Stucco ground floor has banded rustication with doorway
left of centre in architrave surround with cornice on consoles. Revealed
sash windows, no glazing bars, under segmental red brick arches with
keystones and with red brick dressings to upper floors, those on 2nd floor
with aprons below sills. Stone dentil cornice over 2nd floor and brick
plat band below parapet. Early C19 cast iron balconettes to 1st floor.
Interior retains oval staircase hall and wrought iron balustrade to stone
stairs rising to 1st floor with galleried landing; some good statuary marble
and carved wood chimney pieces with original grates etc.
