Barn or cowhouse. Probably mid C16 with early C19 alteration. Coursed rubble,
timber-framed interior, stone slate roof. 6 openings: quoins. Bays 1 2, 4
and 6 have windows with monolithic lintels. Bay 3 has doorway, originally wider.
Bay 5 has low cart-entry with wooden lintel and double doors. Buildings attached
to either end, not of special interest.

Interior: 4 bays. Inclined posts on padstones with mortices for wall ties and
braces have long straight braces to arcade-plates; wall plates; tie beams. Braces
to tie beams have connecting spurs from posts halved over the braces. Single
angle struts support single purlins. Principal rafters have high collar which
carries square cut ridge tree.

An unusual timber-framed building unique within the region.
