7/12 Mizpah Cottage

II

Cottage. Early C19. Random rubble, red tile roof. 2-cell direct-entry
plan with side outshut. Single storey. 2 windows with deep margin-dressed
lintels and projecting sills to left of doorway with mid-C20 wood-and-glass
storm porch. Ridge stack. Slightly set back on right is outshut: small window,
lean-to roof raised and altered to flat roof.

Interior: 1st cell unheated originally; 2nd cell, larger, has deep chimney-breast.

The cottage is of interest being a squatter's encroachment on Rigton Green taking
off a corner of the Green at the junction of 2 roads.
