Pair of terraced houses, now one property. c. 1770 as part of the
development of the south side of Hertford Street by the elder Henry
Holland (builder, of Fulham) with his son, in partnership with John
Eldridge. Brown brick with rusticated stucco ground floors, slate
roofs. 3 storeys and attic storey, on basements. 8 windows wide
(No 8 of 5 windows and No 9 with 3). Former central entrance to No
3 and semicircular arched doorway to right hand of No 9, panelled door
and patterned fanlight. Recessed sashes, no glazing bars, under flat
gauged arches, stucco rustication struck to arches on ground floor; No 8
with mid C19 stucco architraves to upper floors. 1st floor plat band
and moulded stone cornice carried across over 2nd floor, attic storey
with parapet coping. Cast iron balcony across 1st floor. Cast iron
railings
