Terraced town house. c. 1768-70, as part of the development of the south
side of Hertford Street by the elder Henry Holland (builder, of Fulham)
with his son, in partnership with John Eldridge; some mid C19 alterations.
Brown brick with added stucco dressings, slate roof. 4 storeys, including
attic storey and dormered mansard, on basement. 3 windows wide. Doorway to
left with ornate fanlight in boldly modelled surround with keystone and
cornice-hood over on consoles. Recessed sash windows, no glazing bars, with
cornices on consoles to ground and 2nd floors and segmental pediments
flanking central triangular one, all with consoles, to 1st floor windows.
Main entablature over 2nd floor, attic cornice and blocking course; segmental
pedimented dormers. Cast iron balcony across 1st floor. C18 wrought iron
area railings with lampholders and link extinguishers flanking entrance.
