Mid C18. A large house of three storeys in brick. Welsh slate roof with Stacks
at gable ends. Rusticated quoins. Of three bays, the centre slightly advanced,
five windows with plain keystones, the central featured and having moulded architraves
No glazing bars to four windows on ground floor. Stuccoed doorcase with Ionic
columns, supporting frill entablature and dentilled pediment; barred segmental
fanlight. Wood modillion eaves cornice. Single-storeyed wing to right with
3-light angular bays. Visually important in the town.
Forms a visual group with Nos 56 and 58 which are of local interest.
