Probably early C18. Comprises 2 cottages of chalk rubble on sarsen plinth.
One and a half storeys, thatched. Left hand cottage lower and slightly extended
in mid C19 with brick quoins. One dormer cut into thatch and one brick chimney;
angled bay on brick base to left of plank door which has thatched hood. Right
hand part of Coursed and dressed chalk rubble. Two ranges of windows, 2 and
3 light casements, timber lintels on ground floor. One brick chimney, cellar
window to right. Single storey extension to right possibly formerly a waggon
shed, opening now blocked, one window. Interior of right hand cottage has large
fireplace with slightly cambered lintel and chamfered surrounds.
