GV II

Farmhouse. Mid-C18, with late C19 extension. Flemish bond brick
to front, English bond to sides and rear, tiled hipped roof, brick
stacks. L-plan. 2-storey, 3-window front. Central 6-panelled
door has flat wooden hood on consoles and moulded jambs, either
side is one 2-light casement with segmental-arched head. First
floor has three 2-light casements with segmental-arched heads.
Moulded wooden cornice to eaves. Right return has one 2-light
casement to both floors. Left return has greenhouse and C20
French windows to ground floor and one single and one 2-light
casement to first floor. Rear has two doors and two 2-light
casements with segmental heads to ground floor and four 2-light
casements to first floor, all with segmental heads. Late C19 2-
storey wing to right and rear has panelled door with flat wooden
hood and 3-light casement to ground and 2 and 3-light casement to
first floor. Right return of wing has inserted C20 garage doors,
and 2-light casements to first floor. Rear of wing has C20 door
and glazed stair extension with three 2-light casements to first
floor.
Interior was refitted c1800 with moulded doorcases, newel stairs
and fireplace with wheat-ear surround. (Unpublished records of
