Row of 3 cottages; not of one build. C17 with later alerations; Curly Vale
probably later. C20 addition and alterations. Timber framed, faced in roughcast
C18/C19 brick with brick dentil cornice; Curly Vale of whitewashed brick. C20
tile roof; brick ridge stacks. Oak and Middle Cottages each one-unit; Curly Vale
2-unit plan. One storey and attic with dormers; 4-window range. Late C20 doors.
Entrance to Oak Cottage in addition; Middle Cottage has plank door and segmental
arch; Curly Vale has C20 glazed porch and door. C19 and C20 casements, some with
glazing bars. Some windows with segmental or cambered arches over. Interior of
Middle Cottage: Rear wall has exposed framing with lath and plaster infill, Open
fireplace and winder stairs. First floor said to have flagstones and original
roof structure. Extensive additions to left, right and rear.
