Farmhouse, c.1600. 2 storeys. 3-cell cross-entry plan; the parlour block to
right is roofed as a cross-wing. Timber-framed and plastered. Thatched roof;
an original axial chimney of red brick with a sawtooth shaft and moulded base.
Early C19 or C18 casements of 3 lights with transomes. Multiple panelled door
at cross-entry, with C19 gabled canopy cantilivered on brackets. Good
complete framing for date. In the hall is an ovolo moulded main beam with
roll-moulded joists. Altered twin chamfered service room doorways. Several
original moulded plank doors. A lintelled fireplace in the hall. 2-tier side
purlin roof, the lower tier butted and the upper tier clasped by reduced
principals and wind-braced.
