Farmhouse, early C17. 3-cell cross-entry plan. 2 storeys. Timber-framed and
plastered. Thatched roof with axial chimney of red brick. C19/early C20
small-pane casements. Boarded entrance door. A typical C17 house with quite
complete framing; arch braced studwork, wind-braced clasped purlin roof,
chamfered twin service room doorways (the dividing partition removed), and
chamfered floor joists laid flat. An open fireplace to the hall; originally
the only hearth. A lower pantiled service extension to left.
