House. Circa 1830; extended in circa late C19. Flemish bond red brick
tuck-pointed at front. Slate roofs with gabled ends. Brick gable end
stacks. Plan: 2-room plan front range with central entrance hall.
Extended at rear later in C19 by a shallow addition on left and a wing
on the right, behind which is an outbuilding (probably stables) now
part of the house. Exterior: 3 storeys. Symmetrical 3-bay SW front,
the corners recessed slightly, rubbed brick flat arches and stone
cills. C19 16-pane sashes, centre first floor narrower 12-pane sash
and second floor smaller 8 and 6-pane sashes. Central doorway with
reeded doorcase, rectangular overlight with radiating glazing bars,
canopy on large shaped brackets, fielded panel reveals and fielded
six-panel door. At rear shallow 2-storey extension on right with lean-
to roof and gable-ended wing on left with large 2-storey canted bay.
At rear of wing a lower weather-boarded range with corrugated iron
sheet roof, converted into house accommodation. Interior: not
inspected.
