Public House, C17 with probable C16 core; mid C19 alterations. 2 storeys.
Timber-framed, encased at the front in painted C19 gault brick. The left-hand
gable is of C17 pink/buff brick with massive external end chimney having sunk
panels in the shaft; this appears to have been added to an earlier timber-
framed building. Another similar chimney at rear wing. Concrete tiled roof
with C19 chimneys of gault brick. C19 sash windows with flat arches of gauged
brick and small-pane sashes. 4-panelled entrance door with moulded pilasters
and canopy. Some timber-framing, possibly of C16, exposed internally.
