House, then 3 cottages, one now museum exhibit, other now chapel. Mid C18,
extended late C18, altered C19, chapel formed c1925, museum c1982. Brick,
old plain tile roof. 2 storey and attic, originally 3 bay with added bay
at upper end (with later cottages beyond), central hipped projection to
earlier part and rest outshot, on rear. Front has older part to RH, with
central 4-panel door and blocked doorway beside. To RH 3-light leaded
casement. To LH and in added bay 3-light segmental head casement. At LH
end plank door. 1st floor raised band broken over centre bay and running
½-way across added LH bay. On 1st floor irregular 3-light casements. On
roof 2-light leaded casements in eyebrow dormers. Large ridge stacks at
each end of original building. Roof abuts lower roofs at both ends.
Inside RH bay on ground floor is chapel of c1925 with C19 panelling.
Inside added LH bay is museum exhibit of household in C18.
