House. C16, C17, c.1800 and C20. Walls of pale ironstone, galletted, with brick
quoins, and 1st floor band to part, at the rear part of the upper wall is brickwork,
the north-east end has exposed framing of 2 periods (indicating an original lower
eaves). Tiled roof, hipped at one end, gabled at the other. Small late-medieval
2-bay timber-framed house, with a massive stack attached at one end and with a
westward extension (both then with upper floors) of C17, forming a lobby-entrance
house, with a small further extension of c.1800, when the whole (except the north
end) was refaced in stone. North-west front of 2 storeys, 5 windows. C20 case-
ments and gabled brick porch. Small C20 2-storeyed wing to the rear of the south-
west end. Interior shows the phases of construction in the exposed framework.
