Medieval hall, in ruins. C13. Walls of flint, with stone dressings; plinth,
four lower window openings with chamfered reveals, wider cill of a hall window, the
hall doorway, low doorway to cellar, four columns on octagonal bases (one complete)
and half-columns set against the walls at the end of each 'arcade'. Rectangular
aisled hall of three bays, with west end cellar (below a solar?). The walls
survive unevenly to cill height of the hall, and there is the jamb of a doorway
to the solar. The thickening of the cellar walls suggests vaulting. Ancient
Monument.
