Farmhouse. Early C17 with mid-C19 alterations and additions. Timber-
framed, painted brick infill on sandstone rubble base, plain tiled roof,
and paired star-shaped ridge stacks; also external C19 brick stack to
right side elevation. Hall and cross-wing type plan, both of two framed
bays and hall with lobby-entrance; single storey and attic with dormers.
Framing: three square panels from sill to wall-plate, short straight
braces in upper corners, collar-and-tie-beam trusses with queen struts
and V-struts in apex. Front elevation: hall part has a ground floor
3-light casement and a gabled dormer with bargeboards, finial and 2-
light casement; planked and battened door at right end; cross-wing gable
end has a ground floor 2-light casement and 3-light attic window. Main
entrance now in left gable end; gabled, timber-framed porch with finial,
chamfered posts and planked and battened door with moulded architrave.
Interior: main beams are stop-chamfered. Single storey additions at rear.
