Stable block formerly to Eywood (demolished during 1950's) and now
sub-divided into tenements. Late C18, early 19 and C20 alterations.
Dressed sandstone rubble with part brick dressings, hipped Welsh slate
roofs. U-plan main block with carriage entrances to centre of north-east
and south-west blocks, the south-west block has a further wing which
extends to the south-west. This also has a central carriage entrance.
Main U-plan block of two storeys with dentilled eaves cornice and penticed
at first floor level, north-east wing with central semi-circular headed
arched carriage opening flanked by three window openings now partially
blocked but three retaining 2-light casement windows, ground floor has
central doorways flanked by 2-light 6-pane casement windows. The arrange-
ment is similar to the south-west block with carriage doorways to the
north-west block. The south-west extended wing of one storey and attic
has a central carriage entrance surmounted by an octagonal cupola, it
is flanked by C20 flat-roofed half-dormers with 2-light casement windows,
altered glazing bar sash windows to ground floor.
