Farmhouse. C15 or possibly earlier with early C17 cross-wing; early C20
and later additions and alterations. Timber-framed with wattle-and-daub
and brick infill on sandstone rubble plinth, rendered to west front; part
stone slate and part synthetic roof material. Hall aligned north/south
with cross-wing at north end. Lateral stack to hall and axial stack to
cross-wing; west entrance. Two storeys cross-wing to left with one C20
multi-paned window to first floor and similar C20 bow window to ground floor;
single storey and attic to hall to right with three small 2-light windows to
right of gabled C20 porch, panelled door. Interior reveals part of two
cruck trusses of hall; a few sections of C17 panelling are retained in the
cross-wing.
