Farmhouse and adjoining barn. C15 core to farmhouse, altered and extended
during C17; late C17 or early C18 adjoining barn. Square panelled timber-
framing with painted brick infill. Sandstone rubble plinth; stone slate
roof. Weatherboard cladding and corrugated metal roof to barn. Hall range
of three bays aligned east/west with cross-wing at west end; barn adjoins
to east and extends to east and south; large central stack, further lateral
stacks. Two storeys. South front gable end of cross-wing to left with 3-
light casement window on both floors, single storey and attic to hall range
to right with 2-light window in gabled dormer, and two 3-light casement windows
to right of ledged dour with canopy. One cruck truss is partly revealed in
east gable end of earlier wing. Barn is four square panels high from cill to wall
plate.
