Cottage. Probably late C17 or early C18 with later alterations. Sandstone
rubble plinth and timber-frame with plaster and brick infill. Welsh slate
roof. Rendered sandstone rubble external end stack with brick shaft.
Rectangular three-bay plan aligned north-east/south-west. One storey and
attic. South-east elevation has two mid-C20 raking top dormers with 3-
light casements. Ground floor has projecting part to right with two
windows, late C20 with nine panes, under catslide roof. Left part has two
casements of one and two lights. Entry to left of projection has glazed
mid-C20 door. Attached to left gable is mid-C20 brick extension which
masks the end stack. Frame is generally three square panels high from cill
to wall-plate, reduced to two panels in the projection. Interior has flagged
stone floors and raking strut trusses. Ledged doors, probably C17 or C18.
Stone fireplace to south-west has gun-rack. (RCHM, Vol II, p 47).
