SO 45 SE BIRLEY CP BIRLEY

8/2 Rose Cottage

House. C17, with some late C19 alterations, restored 1980s. Timber-frame
with wattle-and-daub infill on a coursed rubble plinth under a corrugated
iron roof. Two framed bays aligned north-east/south-west with external
rubble stack with brick shaft to southern gable. North-west front of one
storey with two 3-light C19 casements. Entrance to rear. Framing: two
square panels with straight angle braces to gable end. Gable-end truss
has two raking struts.
