House, now offices. Dated, TH/1796 on rear rainwater head. Red brick,
slate hipped roof. 3 storeys, 5 bays garden front: ABCBA with C forming
giant blind arched recess. Brick modillion cornice at eaves level and
in pediment; glazing bar sash windows; central six panel door contained
in broken pedimented doorcase of attached Tuscan columns each supporting
a fragmentory section of full entablature with triglyphs, interlaced
ogival Gothick fanlight. Side elevation of 4 bays: mainly blind windows
and refenestration. Rear elevation has central 4 centred entrance arch.
To right attached wing: probably early C19 with dated RSWB 1939 alterations;
2 storeys, 3 bays. Interior: cantilevered re-positioned top-lit staircase
C18: mahogany handrail, plain balusters open string with cut oak brackets;
6 panel mahogany doors to major ground floor rooms; fine fireplaces; right
front room has grey marble surround and decorative cast iron basket;
another enriched cast iron basket in first floor front left room.
