Farmhouse. Probably late C17 or early C18 with later additions and
alterations. Timber-frame and sandstone rubble, slate roof and stone
stacks with brick shafts. T-plan with cross-wing at north end. Two
storeys. Two windows, C19 casements, one to gable front at first-floor
level, the other to left side of main range, segmentally-headed ground-
floor window to right hand side in C19 extension; gable front has weather-
ing to exposed timber-framing which is four panels high to tie-beam, on
its north side is a large stone external stack; entry in east side of
main range. (RCHM Vol II, p 158).
