5/26 The Corner House

House. C17, altered during early C19, C20 alterations. Timber-framed on
sandstone plinth and brick infill; Welsh slate roofs; south front with pebble-
dash render and weatherboarding in gable. Irregular plan; former L-plan encased
in later additions, west gable-end stack and further stack to east; entrance to
south. Two storeys, south front: gable end of wing to left with two C19 windows
one 3-light casement window and one 2-light casement window; similar 3-light
window to right; gabled canopy to porch, panelled door. Timber-framing is
revealed to west side, three square panels from mid-rail to wall-plate; sand-
stone rubble to ground floor.
