SO 51 NE GOODRICH CP GOODRICH

House. Probably late C16, greatly altered late C19 or early C20. Timber-
framed with wattle-and-daub infill and stone plinth to north cross-wing,
central range painted rubble and later added south cross-wing, with part
timber-framing to east gable, slate roofs. Former L-shaped house now central
range with flanking cross-wings, facing east, central entrance with through-
passage backing on to stack, later axial stack to south. Two storeys with
cellar; late C19 and C20 3- and 2-light casements; 1:2:2 with one to ground
floor to north gable; gabled porch with late C19 partly-glazed door. North
cross-wing: framing largely complete; 2 bays, 3 square panels from sill to
wall-plate, 2 queen struts from tie-beam to collar, traces of ovolo moulded
mullioned windows to north return. Interior: ovolo stop-chamfered beams.
In an out-building (not included) to south-west of the house is a resited
studded ledged door with decorative strap hinges.
