This bridge over the Dulas Brook was built in the early 1800s for the Hay Railway, a horse-drawn tramroad connecting the stone quarries of Old Radnor with the Abergavenny and Brecon Canal at Brecon. The later Hereford, Hay and Brecon Railway built a station very nearby and built a new bridge for their steam railway over the same brook. The tramroad bridge was then used as part of an access road to the station. Following closure of the railway in the 1960s the former railway land was sold including the bridge. It is currently being used for storage by an adjoining business. This view shows the downstream face. The upstream face, covered in vegetation, can be seen from the nearby road bridge running parallel. The boundary between England, on the left, and Wales, on the right, runs along the centreline of the watercourse.
