House. c1700 with mid-C19 alterations and additions. Pebbledashed sandstone with slate roof, left end stacks and external chimney at right end forming part of main south front. Two storeys. Two bays. SOUTH ELEVATION: Windows are all C19; ground floor has a cross-casement and a 3-light casement with moulded architraves; two first floor 3-light casements. Main entrance to left has a shallow flat canopy on wrought iron brackets, a moulded architrave and a 6-panelled door. There are shaped bargeboards at the left gable end. Some sandstone walling exposed at right gable end. Interior not inspected but said to retain part of old roof structure and also some timber-framed walling at first floor level. C19 wing to rear right. The house faces the main western approach into Belbroughton village and is situated adjacent to the Brook House and The Old Malt House (qv), Island House (qv), The Queens Public House (qv) and Corner House and adjoining out-buildings (qv). Included for group value.
