Farmhouse. Mid-C17, remodelled early C18 and early C19 with some late C20
alterations. Timber-frame with painted brick infill and painted brick with
tile and slate roof. H-plan, main range aligned east/west, early C18; east
wing C17 frame, with stack at junction with hall range which has three brick
shafts of 6-point star plan; west cross-wing early C18. South front: two
storeys, central block has a band and dentilled brick cornice, 1 + 2 + 1
windows: a 3-light casement and three 2-light casements; ground floor: 3-
light casements, entrance to left-hand end of main range has a C20 gabled
porch, wooden architrave under segmental head and half-glazed door; also
entrance to left of right-hand cross-wing has C20 door approached by three
steps. Framing: two square panels high to first floor with straight angle
braces and struts to collar. Interior: inglenook fireplace in west cross-
wing has a C18 moulded mantle shelf and spit rack.
