Farmhouse, now a private house. C17 or earlier, altered and enlarged to
SE 1923 when name changed from Elm Tree Farm. Timber frame, roughcast
ground floor, tile-hung 1st floor, and steep old red tile roofs. A
2-storeys, 4 windows house facing W on NE corner of crossroads, set
back from road. Older part L-shaped with NE rear wing, large chimney
at junction with this wing, 3-cells W range with narrow unheated (?
parlour) bay at S, wide middle part (? hall) heated by an internal
chimney at N end with entrance into a cross-passage to N behind this
chimney. Axial beams and evidence of possible continuous W front jetty.
This front has 3-light flush casement windows (one-light at LH) and
square hipped bay window on LH on ground floor. Interior has chamfered
beams with scroll stops.
