Public house. Early C19 incorporating older rear wing. Yellow
brick painted white with slated roof. Timber framed and roughcast
rear wing with steep red tile roof. A 2 storeys and cellar,
double-pile double-fronted, central entrance, end-chimneys plan
building with older 2-storeys rear wing at NW. Main E front has
4 pilasters above a low plinth. Symmetrical facade with narrower
central bay. 3 upper windows, recessed sash windows with 8/8
panes and segmental arches. Wider similar arches to Ground floor
openings. Canted bays with sash windows flank the entrance up 3
steps. Small-paned half-glazed double doors recessed in hooded
surround. Wrought iron sign bracket off-centre. Included for
group value.
