House, now a public house. C17 or earlier, C20 rear extensions. Timber
frame on black stuccoed sill, roughcast with steep old red tile roofs. A
2-storeys, 3-cells house set back a little from road, facing N. Internal
chimney with lobby-entry next jettied E crosswing. 2 windows to 1st
floor, 3 to ground floor plus another to W lean-to extension. Similar E
catslide extension for porch. Central boarded door by chimney. Flush
casement windows with rectangular leaded glazing of 3-lights to window
below the jetty but 2-lights elsewhere. Interior has axial beams to
middle cell, axial joists to narrower W cell. Open fireplace to middle
cell has pointed recess in back and signs of an oven to rear. Exposed
wall framing. Extension in keeping.
