1906 by B Parker and R Unwin for C J Fox, a local artist. The building originally
formed a large, open-roofed studio with inglenook fireplace. On the north
side was a great mullioned window with battered buttress to give lateral stability
to the main beam of the structure. Now divided into 2 storeys. Irregular
gabled facades. Thatched and tiled roofs. Roughcast stack. Roughcast walls.
Mullioned casement windows with leaded lights. Six light mullion and transom
studio window. Entrance in "stoep" on south side with fitted settle.
