House. C16, altered in C17 and late C18. Timber frame plastered
but exposed at S end (remains of pargetting in middle of front).
Jetty of S wing underbuilt in brick and N wing cased in brick.
Brick painted. Steep old red tile hipped roofs. A long
irregular late medieval building facing W. 2 storeys, 3-unit
plan with large central chimney 1/3 from N end. Another central
chimney at SE exposed where a rear wing has been shortened.
Unusually wide S wing and narrow middle room. 4 windows to W
front. A 2-light and a 3-light leaded casement windows to
plastered 1st floor of S wing and 2 flush box sash windows in
brickwork below with 10/10 panes and 6-panel flush beaded door in
moulded surround with flat hood adjoining the right hand window.
Black stucco plinth. N wing faced in brick with floor band and
dentilled eaves with a 2-light leaded casement to each floor, the
lower with deep segmental arch. 3-light leaded casement in
pargetted centre over lean-to tiled enclosed porch with 4-light
leaded window by battened door.
