Statue. 1878 by C.B. Lawes (later Lawes-Wittewronge). White
marble figure, grey marble pedestal. Semi-reclining nude figure
seated on a drapery-covered rock with an oval base. The pedestal
resembles a table and has a rock faced plinth and a concave-sided
support. Shallow rectangular top. A good example of late C19
classical sculpture. (Pevsner (1977)).
