Pair of cottages. 1787 on datestone, for Sir Henry Etherington. Brick,
colour-washed, pantiled and slate roofs. Single storey with attics,
4 window front. Centre lobby-entry plan. Gothick panelled door in
projecting gabled porch flanked to left by 9-pane unequal sash, with blank
Gothick tracery over, in pointed brick arch. To right are 3 similar
windows, 2 to left with sashes, C20 window to right. To right of door is
datestone:
