Barn, converted to house. Probably late C16 converted in C17, extended
C19, altered C20. Timber frame on brick base. Weatherboarded. Steeply
pitched machine tiled roof. 4 or 5 bays converted to 2 storey lobby
entry. Entrance to left of centre. 2 and 3-light casements. Large axial
ridge stack with rebuilt cap. To rear: catslide over C19 brick addition
to left. Further ground floor additions. Interior: English bond double
fireplace. Straight and curved braces from jowled posts to tie beams.
Ogee stop chamfered binding beam. Adjoins No. 5 Blackbird Lane. (q.v.)
