House. Early C16 in 2 builds. Extended, altered, heated and floored in
C17. Altered C19. Timber frame, brick casing, pebbledash. Tiled roofs. 2
bay open hall originally with slightly later 2-bay 2 storey chamber wing
to right on same axis. Hall: entrance and 2 casements in reveals,
cambered heads to ground floor, external stack to left with one offset.
Chamber wing: larger external stack with offsets to front. Slightly
higher ridge. C17 staircase wing to rear where 2 builds meet. To rear
right a gabled lower addition with an external rear stack now in a
further lean-to addition. Left return has a full height C19 canted bay
with a plinth. Hall has short rear addition under a catslide roof.
Interior: cambered tie beams and jowled posts. Crown post roof to hall
and clasped purlin roof in chamber wing. Stop chamfered binding beam.
