House. Late C18 with C19 and C20 alterations. Brick in English garden wall
bond, French tile roof. Central-hallway entry, 2 parallel ranges. 2
storeys, 3 bays. 6-fielded-panel door and overlight in reeded doorcase with
pendants below frieze and to cornice, flanked by canted bay windows of 1935.
First- floor 16-pane sashes beneath wedge lintels. Gable coping, plain
kneelers. Left end stack. Massive external stack to right end, largely
rebuilt. Whole of right gable end substantially rebuilt. C19 map shows a
third room at right end. Outshut to right gable end not of special
interest. Interior: open-string staircase with 2 column-on-vase balusters
per tread and ramped handrail. 6-fielded-panel doors some with original H-L
hinges. Chamfered cross beam to kitchen. Included for group value.
