Detached house on corner site. C18, possibly with earlier fragments. Mostly Ham stone roughly cut and squared, but with
extension in Flemish bond red brickwork; plain clay tiled roofs, some over stone slate base courses, between stepped
coped gables; brick chimney stacks. 'T'-plan; 2 storeys with attics; north-east elevation onto Crown Lane but looking
down West Street, of 3 bays of which bay 3 is a gabled projection. Sash windows of 12 panes, to upper bays 1 and 2 set
into architraves, and below an angled bay window with flat roof spanning both these bays; to right of bay 2 a Regency
pattern 6-panel door hung on heavy frame, protected by open stone porch set into the corner, with Tuscan columns and
pilasters carrying plain entablature; bay 3 projection has a blocked gable-end window to first floor and 2-light
casement to attic, both with timber lintels; in south-east face of return are small- pane casement windows, the lower
C20 and the upper a 3-light earlier pattern set under a stone label. South-east gable has a hollow-chamfered
single-light window in chamfered recess without label at attic level. A variety of casement windows to north crosswing
and west elevation of main block. Further C20 extensions to west gable of crosswing. Interior not seen.
