Detached cottage. Probably C18. Ham stone rubble, ashlar quoins, the facade rendered; plain clay tiled roof between
stepped coped gables with gabletted finials, no chimney stacks visible. Two storeys with attics, 3 bays irregular
fenestration. Above, three 3-light casement windows of early pattern, rectangular leaded with iron-framed opening
lights; below, 12-pane sash of early C19 pattern to left of bay 1, with later sash right of bay 1, and to bay 3 a
3-light horizontal-bar casement of early pattern: to lower bay 2 a 6-flush-panel door in deep recess. Small leaded
casement window high in east gable, and abutting below is a small single-storey building, probably a former
carriage-house, with Welsh slate roof and elliptical arched doorway with pair of boarded doors. Interior not seen.
Attached to south side, rear, is Knapp House (q.v.).
