House. Early C17 or earlier. Timber framed. Ground floor brick in
stretcher bond to left and left-central bays, rendered to right-central
and right end bays. Exposed framing with rendered infilling to first
floor. Plain tile roof. South-facing, built at right-angles to road.
2 storeys. Stone plinth. Facade divided by principal posts into 4
timber-framed bays. Right-central bay narrower than rest. Broadly-
spaced studding. Higher midrail to two central bays. Tension brace to
right end bay. Steeply-pitched hipped roof, with gablet to right. Brick
ridge stack to right-central bay. Irregular fenestration of 2 windows;
one four-light diamond mullion window to left-central bay and one small
two-light casement to right end. Slight evidence of blocked doorway
under stack. Half-glazed door towards centre of right end bay. Short
two-storey addition to left gable end; ground floor brick, first floor
weatherboarded, plain tile roof, and no first-floor windows. Interior
not inspected.
