GV II

Farmhouse. Early C17, with C19 and C20 alterations. Timber framed.
Ground floor red and grey brick in Flemish bond, first floor tile-hung.
Plain tile roof. 2 storeys, on low stone plinth. Hipped roof, left
hip returning with slightly higher ridge. Prominent C17 brick ridge
stack to left of centre, with 4 octagonal brick flues with moulded
capitals and bases, grouped round central diamond-shaped shaft and
set on moulded brick plinth. Irregular fenestration of six 2-pane
sashes grouped 2:1:2:1. Panelled door with 2 top lights and flat
corniced hood, under stack. Rear return wing to left in same materials,
with ridge stack towards rear and with 2 first-floor sashes. Further
rear wing parallel to main range, infilling angle between main range and
return wing, and probably of similar date, but with higher eaves and
ridge; terminates behind main-range stack, with jettied gable.
