The Glen
GV II
House. Late C18 and early C19. Painted brick front, painted
flint to sides; mansard roof, slated on the front slopes,
pantiles to rear. 2 storeys and attics. 3 window range: sashes
without glazing bars in flush cased frames with segmental
heads. A central 6-panel door with the upper panels glazed has
a shouldered wood architrave and pediment. 2 end
chimney-stacks. A large rear extension of the 1960s has a
re-set datestone with initials D.J.A. and date 1792.
INTERIOR: C18 timbers in ceilings; simple early C19 stair.
