1903 cast iron decorated clock tower set in middle of road junction and erected
to commemorate the visit of J Chamberlain to South Africa when Secretary of
State for the Colonies. Pedestal base with volutes to corners, tall square
section panelled shaft; console corbelled square clock stage with segmental
pedimented clock faces, segmental cupola capping.
