Barn and shelter shed. C17, early C19 shed. Timber-framed barn,
3-panel high, on low stone plinth, faced butt-jointed boarding,
some woven wattle air-vents in top. Tiled roof one side,
corrugated iron other. Shelter shed random rubble rear wall, open
front with timber posts, tiled roof. Six-bay barn, porch added
one side: 5-bay shelter shed at right angles. Facade to shelter-
shed yard, double doorway off centre to right, single late C20
doors, divided horizontally. Some vertical jointing in boarding.
On left shelter shed, timber posts on stone blocks, weatherboarded
gable. Barn interior, bottom panel to framing nearly as high as
top 2 panels; some bracing in bottom half. Not all main posts
jowelled: straight braces to trusses, some missing. Trusses tie
beam, collar and angle struts, 3 pairs purlins, square ridge,
straight wind braces wall plate to lowest purlins. Rafters
largely intact below corrugated iron. Lean-to stone porch added
on opposite side, low doors, drop to yard beyond. Lean-to
between porch and road. King-post trusses to shelter shed.
Lean-to sheds at right-hand end of barn, and to right of double
doors, in yard, not of special interest.
