Mediaeval stone doorway incorporated in walling. C15. Moulded double-ware
three-centred arch in three stones, drip mould stopped to labels, and moulding brought
to square stops at plinth. Opening brick filled; the whole set in rubble wall about
eight feet high, finished with squared stone top course plus flat concrete slab
coping. Wall runs about twenty feet to left (south) and about six feet to right, to
junction with lower section.
Archway reputed to derive from Kingswood Abbey, but no documentary evidence.
