Barn and adjoining outbuildings (undergoing conversion into a
furniture factory - October 1986). Late C18 with C19 extensions.
Random limestone rubble with dressed stone quoins. Open-fronted
store drystone with dressed stone quoins; stone slate and
artificial stone slate roofing; plank roofing to the open-fronted
store; brick stack. Rectangular plan to barn with projecting
porches on the north-west and south-east sides; long C19
extensions on the south sides of both these porches; open-fronted
store at right angles to the south-west facing elevation. North-
west elevation: central projecting porch with a hipped roof and
double plank doors, pigeon holes to the north-east facing gable
end; C19 extension projects forwards to the right with a double
plank door within a segmental-headed surround; rear of open-
fronted store to the right. South-east elevation; central hipped
porch to barn; 4-light casement to the left of the porch; long
extension runs forwards to the left with eight-pane top opening
casement to the ground floor; two C19 three-light metal casements
to the first floor; two C20 plank doors to the ground floor; two
cross-ended tie plates towards the left gable end; stone steps to
plank door to loft to the south-west elevation. C20 skylights.
Interior of barn: 5 bays with the original collar and tie-beam
roof trusses. Queen post roof trusses to the C19 range. This
building is situated in a prominent position in relation to
Daglingworth Manor (q.v.) and the road to Cirencester.
