Detached cottage. Marked as The Cott on the 1:2500 O.S. map.
Mid C17-early C18 (possibly in two phases), extended late C18-C19
and C20. Coursed limestone rubble stone, slate roof; stacks with
dressed stone quoins (restored C20). Rectangular main body with
successive extensions to the west gable end, lean-to extension to
the rear. Two storeys. Single-light, 2 and 3-light double-
chamfered stone-mullioned casements with stopped hoods; 3-light
ovolo-moulded stone-mullioned casement with stopped hood to the
ground floor of the right-hand bay, similar 2-light stone-mullioned
casement above. Two small single-light casements with flat-
chamfered surrounds at the rear. Single-bay C19 extension with a
C19 two-light casement (one side retaining its leaded panes) to the
ground floor; 2-light wooden casement above. C20 fielded
panelled door with the upper two panels glazed, lower right. C20
Cotswold style extension to the left. Gable-end stacks.
