12/90 Sweet Briar Cottage

II

Detached house. Mid C17 extended late C17-early C18. Limestone
rubble with dressed stone quoins; rendered stacks; stone slate
roofing to rear artificial stone slate to the south front.
Rectangular plan with late C17-early C18 extension to the east
gable end; lean-to extension to the rear. Two storey, 3-windowed
garden front; 2 and 3-light stone-mullioned casements to the main
body; single 2-light ovolo-moulded stone mullioned casement to
ground floor of the last extension with 2-light steel casement with
gablet above. C20 glazed door with glazing bars and a concrete
lintel with a stopped hood at the centre of the main body. Stable
type door to the later extension. Access now via plank door to
lean-to at rear. Gable-end stacks. Interior not inspected.
